The Power of Gratitude
The Power of Gratitude…..
A couple of weeks ago I stumbled across one of my journals (Like unfinished books there are journals scattered around my bedrooms in Dublin & Clare… it is organised chaos)
The journal I discovered was a gratitude journal I had started in Jan 2020. So during the recent heat wave I sat out the back and started going through the journal. It was such an enjoyable trip being reminded of moments, people, places & experiences that filled my heart.
One I will share. I had written about what happened to be the last ever weekend I would spend with my dad and whilst reading it brought me straight back to us watching the football and him cooking me a bad ass steak! Had I not written about this I am not quite sure I would have remembered the little details, and so for that I am grateful.
I encourage you to apply gratitude to your daily ritual. Even just taking a moment first thing in the morning or last thing at night about what filled your heart that day, it can be as simple as a smile from a stranger, the sun on your face, connecting with a friend.
Practicing gratitude has transformed my life, what is one thing that you feel thankful for right now?
